Manifesto
Letterbrace is entering a new chapter; we're expanding beyond our boutique agency roots to build the most powerful content marketing framework ever attempted.
We started as an agency in 2023 and emerged as the most trusted technical literature company. We've been published by countless devtools that prioritize high-quality writing: Evervault, Modal, Credal, etc. Our work has gone viral over and over and over again.
Now, we're making the leap into building product and embracing AI. We're calling it Letterstory.
Initial Skepticism in AI
For years, we were skeptical of AI's impact in our market. Our customers hired us because they wanted to write better content than their competitors. AI produced monotonous and overly structured output. Head-to-head, we'd always win. Since content marketing is a competitive sport, why would companies trust AI?
Then, we made a discovery. AI is a bad writer but a great editor. It's a rule-follower. All of our customers have different voices and writing guidelines. By correctly harnessing AI, we could fine-tune our content. Soon, we realized that Claude Skills weren't enough; we needed a dedicated internal tool to use it efficiently.
Quickly, our ambitions scaled. We built an interface that could add contextual keywords, insert internal links, add sources, create branded tables and diagrams, all while enforcing a company's voice. Today, we use this platform for every article that we produce.
Our customers started asking how our workflow worked. Clearly, something was working, and not just for devtools. It made any type of commercial writing better and more performant. We thought… why stop here? If we were automating editing, why not automate the other annoying content marketing problems.
What We're Building
Letterstory tackles the five major problems of content marketing:
- Curation: Letterstory will curate topics to write about, which is a function of monitoring competitor blogs, tracking trending topics, and finding gaps in the SEO/GEO coverage. SEO is a competitive sport, and the key to winning is staying alert.
- Writing: Letterstory will produce human-like copy that fits a specific style by using adversarial writing kernels. You can choose the style that fits your company's voice.
- Editorializing. Content needs to be fine-tuned. This is a death-by-a-thousand-cuts problem, where articles aren't effective if they lack internal links, a good photo, keywords, headline structure, cited sources, a strong voice etc. etc. Letterstory will handle all of this.
- Publishing. Content needs to reach target destinations. Blogs, Medium, Dev.to, Hashnode, Substack etc. Letterstory will publish to them all.
- Upkeep. Upkeep is hard. Within 3 months, blog posts have technical inaccuracies due to changing specs, products, trends. Within 12 months, a majority of blog posts are out-of-date. Letterstory will flag and rewrite outdated blogs automatically.
Imagine this: your competitor writes about a new standard, Auth 3.0. Letterstory delegates a new article, writes it, fine-tunes it into the company's voice, creates diagrams in brand guidelines, produces meta tags and LinkedIn posts, published to the blog and socials, and re-edits when Auth 3.1 drops three months later.
Our Three Rules
We have three design tenets. These are three rules that'll be true for every single feature we build. They are:
- Manual-Ready. Most teams don't want to outsource everything to AI. They want to retain control of something. What that is varies team by team, so we'll ensure that every decision (e.g. accepting edits, publishing content, selecting topics) could optionally be driven by a human via an interface.
- Automatic Support. Conversely, some teams want to outsource everything or almost everything. Every single decision in our product will also be automatable so that the entire content motion can run silently via agents.
- Interoperable. Each feature will have a push and pull API / MCP hook. If you want to use another product or in-house solution for a piece of the puzzle (e.g. writing), you'll be able to without losing access to the rest of the product. We'll make this as easy as minting an API key and asking Claude Code to wire an integration. More and more companies are looking at internal problems from an engineering lens: we're as much a devtool as a writing tool.
Why Trust Us
Over the past 3 years, we've built a team that's mastered content marketing across the board. We have the right DNA: a ridiculously high bar for quality, the engineering prowess to match it, and the marketing talent to scale it.
Join us for the journey.
